Queen Anne Little League T-Ball is a fun introduction to baseball for boys and girls aged 5 to 6 of all abilities. Age is determined as of April 30 of the current year. 6 year-olds with one year of tee-ball may choose to register for our AA Baseball or AA Softball program. Some 7 year-olds may play t-ball with the permission of the Player Agent. Teams are kept to 10 players. Kids learn the rules of baseball, the concept of working as a team, and start developing good habits, like how to throw and catch properly. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to coach. A clinic and curriculum are provided to make this easy for inexperienced and experienced coaches alike. This is a very low-pressure environment with an emphasis on fun!
There are no tryouts or evaluations for T-Ball. Teams are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and spaces are limited due to field availability. Games are 3 innings long and score is not kept. Practice and game nights will vary weekly by team. We find this allows kids to participate in tee-ball as well as other, more regularly scheduled activities like music or dance lessons.
T-ballers get a cap and shirt. Kids need only bring a baseball glove and cleats (soccer cleats are ok for this level). The registration fee for tee-ball is $60. Scholarships are available. Ability to pay is never a requirement to play in Queen Anne Little League.
