(April 14) A duo of double-baggers to deep centerfield pegged by Marketers Jack Sendlebach and Ronan Hagerty gave the go-ahead nod to the home team in the bottom of the third inning. However, the lead was as fleeting as a blue light special; Best’s Evan Lund took the mound to hurl a series innings designed to keep Ken’s from occupying the bases. Belting a double at the top of the fourth to usher home two Plumbers, Lund demonstrated what he could do at the other end of the plate. Teammate Alec Mate’s one run single, a RBI by Landon Fletcher and unearned runs combined to ensure an express lane victory for the Plumbers. - Mary Cropp
