(May 2) Fischer Plumbing busted out the lumber on offense to down SteveHicks.com 10 – 4. It was a game of triples as Neale Foody, Isle Raftery and Cameron Grane each hit a three bagger to pace the Plungers.
“I was seeing the ball well”, said veteran Cameron Grane. “I got a pitch to hit and I put a good swing on it. It feels good to run like a bat out of down under after smacking the ball”!
Foody also blasted a two RBI double in the Plunge’s half of the second.
“Their pitcher was throwing strikes so we could tee off. We have a veteran team so we know what to do with the ball when it’s over the plate”.
Raftery started the game on the mound and threw three superb innings before being relieved by Foody in the fourth. Both scattered three hits and never allowed the Realtors to get anything going.
All players contributed including Cole Samuelsen who got on three times and scored twice.
“It felt great to contribute”, said Samuelsen. “I wanted to hit the ball, but they gave me a free pass three times so I just ran when the opportunity presented itself. We have a good group and we’re just starting to heat up”.
For their efforts Grane and Samuelsen were awarded game balls.
